Ashitoku Coast
A beautiful beach at Ashitoku appears just a 2-minute walk from the villa. Because it is an inland sea, the waves and winds are calm, providing a soothing experience. It is a recommended beach for morning and evening walks.

Craftsman (Temple Carpenter): Naotaka Saito After experiencing the yakuza, he became a temple carpenter. He is involved in the construction of shrines and temples across the country. He lives in two locations: Amami Oshima and Kanagawa Prefecture.

The garden of Ryukyu Villa was originally an old tangerine field. You can enjoy harvesting tangerines from February to March each year. Enjoy the elegant sweetness of tangerines. *Tangerines are a type of tangor, a natural hybrid of ponkan and navel orange.

Grapefruit water bath Grapefruit (gettou) is called "sanen" in Amami Oshima and is a precious plant of the ginger family that only grows in subtropical regions. It is said to have various benefits for the skin and mind.
Beauty effects of grapefruit The essential oil components of grapefruit leaves have strong antibacterial properties, tightening the skin, enhancing metabolism, activating the skin, and improving spots and wrinkles, as research has shown. Furthermore, grapefruit is said to be rich in minerals and effective for moisturizing and post-sunburn skin care.
Additionally, it is said to be richer in antioxidant power than vitamin E, containing about 30 times the polyphenols of red wine, and has the ability to promote collagen production and delay the decrease of collagen and hyaluronic acid in the skin due to aging.

“Mud Dyeing and Indigo Dyeing”
Workshop
You can experience the traditional techniques of "mud dyeing" and "indigo dyeing" that have been passed down in Amami Oshima since ancient times. It starts with making the dye and involves natural dyeing that connects to Oshima tsumugi threads and kasuri.
You can bring your own dyeing materials, or purchase T-shirts, stoles, eco bags, etc. (around 500 to 2000 yen) that are available at the workshop for dyeing. You can dye 4 to 5 pieces throughout the day.
